The AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation (MBE) recommends that construction records be retained for the life of the bridge. See Section 2.3 of the MBE. The MBE is included, by reference, in the National Bridge Inspection Standards. See 23 CFR §650.317 (1) of the National Bridge Inspection (NBI) Standards. The field books contain construction information including pile driving logs. As such, we will retain the information as required by the MBE and, by extension, the NBI Standards. |
