| Duties: | Its mission is to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of Tennesseans by insuring that all who practice veterinarian, veterinary medical technician, or euthanasia technician within this state are qualified. The Board interprets the laws, rules and regulations to determine the appropriate standards of practice. The Board is responsible to investigate alleged violations of laws, rules and regulations. |

| Compensation: | Members of the board shall receive one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day for each day or portion thereof while in actual service of the board and shall be reimbursed for travel and other necessary expenses. |
