The Hamilton County Records Center houses all records created in daily commerce in county government including the following: Finance, Chancery Court, County Clerk, Criminal Court, County Mayor, County Attorney, Circuit Court, Register of Deeds, Trustee, Juvenile Court, Engineering, Department of Education, Public Defender, Sheriff's Department, Emergency Services, Human Services, & Election Commission, dating from 1808 to present.

The Hamilton County Records Center is located within the Sheriff's Annex building. They are open Monday through Friday, but by appointment only.
