Sun Studio

Experience a guided tour of the Legendary Sun Studio. The tour explains the history of the most famous recording studio in the world, where the blending of blues and country music came together in the Big Bang of Rock 'N' Roll. Hear outtakes from sessions, see priceless memorabilia, and re-live the history of the studio that launched the careers of Johnny Cash, BB King, Charlie Rich, Little Milton, Roy Orbison, The Howlin' Wolf, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, and many other music legends. Today, we continue to create the magic started here in the 1950's by recording artists such as U2, Tom Petty, John Fogerty, Beck, Matchbox 20, Paul Simon, Ringo Starr, John Mellencamp, Chris Isaak, and many others. We just finished airing Season 3 of our PBS series "Sun Studio Sessions" which shows an intimate look at the recording of 13 different artists in 1/2 hour episodes per season, and currently taping Season 4 to air in January 2013.
