Physical Holdings
The Grainger County Archives holds all county records filmed by TSLA and included in its list of microfilmed records for the county. In addition, the archives holds the following indexed loose records: Marriage bonds and licenses (1796-2000) Estate and guardianship settlements (1796-1915) Circuit Court cases (1810-1915) County Court records (1796-1915) and Chancery Court cases (1829-1925). Some school census records, funeral home records, and Grainger County newspapers (1922-present), as well as donated photos, maps, family history books and genealogies, are also available.
Archives Notes
Located on the top floor of the Board of Education Building. Parking on the lower level, east side, gives the closest access to the building entrance and the elevator to the archives.
